Welcome to the Altona Junior Football Club
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and existing players and families of the Altona Junior Football Club.
Season 2021 is shaping up to be an exciting one for the club, as we will have 12 teams taking to the field this season. We are continuing to build teams after Covid-19, and the lack of a playing season for 2020.
Our many volunteers are the backbone to the club’s ability to field our teams each round. There are a variety of roles that are required for each to team to participate every week. I actively encourage all parents to help wherever and whenever they can. You will find the experience both fulfilling and rewarding.
As an elected member of the existing committee, I am proud to be serving with the newly elected committee for 2021. I am confident that we will be able to build on achievements of the past, and will ensure that we do our best to develop our players not only as footballers, but as responsible, respectful members of the community.
Online registrations are now open and I urge parents to log on and register their sons or daughters with the WRFL as soon as possible. The only portion you are required to pay is the $20.00 per player WRFL registration fee at this time. The club fees will be announced once the WRFL have confirmed their management fees for 2021. Please watch our posts on TeamApp and Facebook for the update of club fees, final due date is April 2021. Gaining an understanding of player numbers is a crucial step in the committees planning at this stage of the season and the WRFL registration process helps us with this.
Pre-season training for all teams has begun. Please keep an eye on our social media pages, and messages from coaches regarding days, times, and venues once this has been confirmed. We will be using TeamApp as our primary source of communication this year, please download the app and find us via https://altonajuniorvikings.teamapp.com. Some news will still be posted on Facebook.
