AJFC Newsletter - February 2019

February 2, 2019

Welcome to 2019!

Pre-season training is back!

We hope you all had a great summer break - can you believe it's February already!?

Pre-season training starts this week for ALL teams,. As we are still experiencing some really warm weather, please ensure all players are well hydrated at each training session.

Please see below time and location details. You will also find the most up to date information, including an 'event' set up for each team, on our Facebook page.

We appreciate some people will need to travel further for pre-season training and balance this around your other weekly commitments, Once the Council provides us with oval availability for the year, we will then announce the training roster for our normal season.

 2019 Registration & Fees

Now that training is about to start, if you haven't already done so, please make sure you register for the season ASAP. There are still a lot of players from last year not yet registered, that we know are playing this season! All you need to pay upfront is the WRFL registration of just $12.50.  Please click here to register.

2019 Fees will include your playing jumper (to be returned at the end of the season). You will only be required to purchase club socks and shorts, available at the Club soon. For more information on uniforms, please email ajfcapparel@gmail.com

Fruit Infused Water

Time to ditch the sugary soda's from the holidays! Here's a healthy and oh so simple way of quenching your thirst, also suitable for the sports water bottle. You can experiment with any fruit combo, but give this one a try. Cucumber is surprisingly refreshing in water!

1. .Slice strawberries & cucumber (add some mint for a fresh burst)

2.  Fill bottle/glasses with water
3. Place fruit in, wait a few minutes for flavor to infuse
4. Remove fruit if wanting a light taste, otherwise leave in and simply refill

Tip - keep sliced mix fruit in freezer and place straight in to water so it doubles as ice!
